That's a flat 6 - not using the K44 engine style, and the pic is near enough a KGT fairing grafted onto a K12LT, with a "tarted up" exhaust. Its not in keeping with BMW's "flat, slab" like styles of the R12RT or K12/K13GT.
The K12LT is way long as it is before adding another two cylinders to its length
if it arrives - I'll have a look, but I'm not holding my breath, and the thought of going back to an "old" technology engine with the horrendous service costs of the LT compared to a GT - no thanks.

Design - who knows, but cannot see it like any of the "K1600" pics so far

Rep Power: 0 | Klt Just got back from a trip to Italy and on the roads around lake Garda/Rovereto kept comming across two bikes both very odd. Long wheel base, but single seat with racing hump, painted dull green/black no panels seemed to fit and a sort of vented side panels. Riders wore BM suits and system helmets and although I never got chance to picture them, was always going the other way, at one junction they turned in front of me and I noticed the BM wheels like an S spoked, also very smooth sound to exhaust. Both riders gave me a serious looking at as I nearly fell off trying to get my camera out of the tank bag. Guess that ether Ducatti are doing a touring bike or BMW are testing something. |
