Default Oil leak at bottom of Final drive

Smell the oil, FD oil smells very different to Engine oil, if its the oil seals in your diagram it will be normal engine oil

11 is the seal that usually fails. Still from the moment you open it change them all, plus the no3 part that was an issue back in 2006-7 always due to extreme hot riding conditions.

The FD seal that normally goes is the one behind the black plastic ring on the side, if its the pinion seal its a bit more involved but still shouldnt cost too much unless something else has gone to cause it, say a bearing. Biggest cause of FD seal failure is actually over-filling, should only be 180ml now.

Back order?

I bet the Germans are still on holiday/re-organising their stockroom etc.
