Rep Power: 5 | So it slips when you try to pull away at 60 but not under load from standstill? That would be unusual!!

Although previosly, if i wasnt too gracefull pulling away, it would make a stange grinding noise, not sure if this is connected, as I seem to recall someone else complaining of this with this model. |

Rep Power: 5 | So... are you sure it's the clutch which is slipping? From a standstill normally puts it under more load?
The squeek/grind at take off is not unusual.

The squeek/grind at take off is not unusual. | Actually, when the gearbox oil seals went on my K12LTs, it was noticeable first in high gears, moving down the box as it got worse.
Not had a slutch slip on the GT, only a clutch slave cylinder fail

Rep Power: 0 | It does feel like the clutch, not sure what else it might be though?
Today, despite me being very gentle on it, it got worse. It will now slip at speed under light acceleration, and when pulling of it will give a judder. I wasnt able to get hold of the dealer today, so wont be able to use it tomorrow now.
I did read some stuff about the oil seals, would this make more sense as it is or was doing it more at speed, rather than pulling off? |

It felt very jerky, clutch was "wooly" and would come back to the bars

Rep Power: 0 | my 1200gt started doing the same at 5k - got it replaced under warrantee. I've now had 3 GTs over the last couple of years and have now come to realise they are great bikes but not bullet proof |

Rep Power: 0 | Ive had mine about 3 months, 8k and ive had the warm start problem, swichgear failed, and now this. Glad I had the warranty on it, but even then I cant get them to look at this for almost two weeks, which will cost me about 400 while I have to take the car into London every day.
Its an RT next, or maybe back to a Pan. |
